Programmer / Applications Engineer

Location: Spokane, Washington

Responsibilities

  • The core role of the Controls Applications Engineer is responsible to develop the applicable control system solution in coordination with the project specifications and proposal.
     

  • Develop DDC control system submittal and installation drawings to meet contractual
    requirements. Includes: sequence of operations, bill of materials, valve/damper schedules,
    wiring diagrams, network architecture

     

  • Develop of application software for DDC system operations and graphics based on
    approved submittal

     

  • Coordinate control system installation and resolution of installation challenges with project
    manager and subcontractor

     

  • Revise control system documentation to reflect as-built condition
     

  • Occasionally provide services in the field to assist project manager with special programming and/or integration assistance

Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; higher education is preferred

  • 5+ years of overall experience years (minimum) experience in controls (DDC) market

  • Proficient in planning, layout and integration of DDC controls into all inter-related electrical,

  • electronic and control sub-systems on commercial and industrial systems

  • Experience working directly with mechanical engineers and contractors

  • Must be able to articulate with good written and oral communications skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Visio, Word and Outlook. Experience with

  • AutoCAD software

  • Field experience with installation, startup & troubleshooting DDC systems working for

  • controls system manufacturer or representative.

Additional Qualifications Desired:

  • Experience with Automated Logic (ALC) control system
     

  • Extensive BACnet & Modbus protocol experience
     

  • Additional duties may be added or changed through time
